Nerfing the guns will piss off most people who bought it, but without substantial drawbacks it just becomes an 'I Win' ship. That means it will need to be balanced by reducing armor or making it a total pig to fly, both of which are bad for the dropship aspect. Unless they're addressed, it is quite likely that it will end up a high-coverage ship with a ton of firepower. Until they decide whether it's supposed to be a hybrid CAS bird & combat dropship like a Hind (and arrange the weapons and interior accordingly) or some sort of long-range transport (which means bigger, because you don't fly 6 guys a few systems in an overt ship, you either take a few squads or do it covertly in something that looks native to the destination) or high-coverage gunship (which the current hull is very, very poorly suited for), you shouldn't be considering it.Īs of right now there are no plans that address these issues that I have seen. It's basically a repeat of what happened with the Cutlass. The concept is fundamentally flawed, and one of the most important characteristics is ill-defined. As someone who owns one and has been following it for a while, my advice is: Don't.
